How time flies!

Mikayla is almost a year old and Zak is getting ready to start pre-school. So many new changes coming this fall. This past summer we went on 2 vacations. A mini one to Philly and then our yearly week long stay in Cape May with Aunt Cat. Mikayla loves the ocean and loved getting wet. Zak on the other hand would rather stay and play on the sand.

It's hard to believe Zak turned 3 this year! He wanted a Kung Fu Panda theme for the party Mom was glad his Elmo stage seems to have ended. He also got to wear his favorite hat, the birthday hat. For his food he wanted hot dogs and french fries and for dessert he wanted M&M cookies and chocolate ice cream. Mommy spent the day before making the cookies so he would be surprised when they showed up on his birthday. However he opened the tin and sampled one the night before before much to Mom's dismay. Aunt Cat had come down to be there for Zak's birthday arriving in DC at 12:20 AM!

Aunt Cat also got to meet her new niece for the first time and they really bonded! Zak was thrilled to have his Aunt Cat there as he loves spending time with her though now he will have to share Aunt Cat with his sister.
